Editing a Dashboard
You can reshape a dashboard at any time — add or remove tiles, change how each tile displays its data, and rearrange the layout.
What you can change
- Tiles — add new query-backed tiles, or remove ones you no longer need.
- Display type — switch a tile between table, cards and the various chart types.
- Layout — move and resize tiles to recompose the page.
- Name and settings — rename the dashboard and adjust its sharing options.
How edits are saved
Layout and content changes are saved back to the dashboard so the next time it is opened — by you or by anyone you've shared it with — it reflects your latest arrangement.
Tips
- Change a tile's underlying query to repoint a tile without rebuilding the layout.
- If a tile's query is slow, let it run in the background so editing the rest of the page stays smooth.
- Test query changes as drafts first, then the published version flows through to the dashboard tile.
